..South Tyrol in all it's beauty

Surroundings & Activities

Amidst the South Tyrolean "Unterland" is Auer, a village near many natural sites and attractions. A few kilometers distant lies the "Kalterer See", the warmest lake in the Alps, and therefore a popular destination for tourists during the summer. Another highlight is the biotope Castelfeder which is a popular hiking destination with ruins from the Roman era and offers a wonderful view of the South Tyrolean "Unterland". Its central location makes it an ideal place for cycling tours along the river "Etsch".
From Bolzano starts the cycling path, leading through an amazing scenery for about 60 kilometers to Trento, in the near province Trentino.

Of particular interest is the Geoparc Bletterbach, which is often referred to as the "Grand Canyon" of South Tyrol. Layers of millions of years old rocks document the long history of the Southern Alps. In the visitor center you can gain all the necessary background information about the parc and admire many fossil animals and plants.
For more information visit the official website of the Geoparc Bletterbach.

For flower lovers, we recommend a day trip to the magnificent Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle in Meran. From early April to mid-November, the gardens are home to more than 80 different garden landscapes from around the world on 12 hectares.

Also we recommend to visit the "Therme Meran", which invite visitors to enjoy many wellness attractions, including:

- Pools & Sauna
- Spa & Vital
- Medical Spa
- Fitness
- Bistro
